With its headquarters in a modern, purpose-built location in Utrecht, Ampco Flashlight Rental was formed in 2011 by a combination of Ampco Flashlight Group rental operations, which had been individual market leaders for over 30 years.

1973
Flashlight was founded as a one-man business involved in renting lighting equipment. Prior to establishing his business, the founder had handled the lighting for a theatrical tour of Herman van Veen, a well-known Dutch cabaret artist, and invested in ligthing equipment for the tour.

1975
Gerard Jongerius started to also sell lighting equipment. To ensure the succes of this expansion, he hired his first employees that year.

1978
Ampco was founded

1979
After having initially supplied theatrical lighting, Flashlight entered the television and events market

1992
Flashlight was taken over by the Nederlands Omroepproductie Bedrijf (NOB)

2000
Flashlight moves to Utrecht

Ampco Flashlight Holding B.V was founded

Ampco & Flashlight operate from one location
